What the ODF Scholarship Is
The Old Dart Foundation Scholarship is a fully-funded award at Divine Word University's Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. It exists to ensure that talented students from rural and remote Papua New Guinea can pursue higher education without financial barriers — and in return, return home to serve their communities as health professionals, educators, and leaders.
Eligibility
- Citizen of Papua New Guinea
- From a rural, remote, or under-served area of PNG
- Accepted to or enrolled at Divine Word University
- Studying within the Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences
- Strong academic record and demonstrated potential
- Demonstrated commitment to returning to and serving their home community after graduation
Selection Process
- Announcement of the application window through DWU official channels and this website.
- Applications submitted through DWU's scholarship office.
- Shortlisting by a joint ODF–DWU committee, reviewing academic merit, financial need, and community-impact potential.
- Interviews with shortlisted candidates.
- Awards announced and onboarding into the ODF scholar community.
